Holistic Health Coach and Yoga Teacher
Dedicated to helping you reach your health goals and feel amazing about your body and your life
Hi there, I'm Bri! I'm a Certified Health Coach and Yoga Teacher, located in Milwaukee, WI.
Growing up a child of the 90’s, I ate all the sweet treats that were popular back then. Twinkies, Zingers, cinnamon rolls and anything made by Sara Lee or Hostess. I only ate 3 vegetables and was addicted to chocolate. To this day I believe that the chocolate and peanut butter combination is the best thing ever created! I also struggled with undiagnosed anxiety and depression as a kid and well into my mid adulthood.
As you can see, healthy eating was something I had to learn on my own. I was super active as a child, playing soccer and basketball competitively. I even played collegiate sports for 2 years in college. But as soon as I decided to quit playing sports, the bad eating habits and lack of movement soon caught up with me.
After college, at the age of 24, I moved myself to New York City. I was going to make it as an artist in the Big Apple! While I was on my quest of self discovery I rediscovered yoga. I first gravitated to yoga looking for relief from my chronic back pain at 12 years old after receiving a diagnosis from my pediatrician that my spine wasn’t like most kids. I have a hyper curve that makes my back muscles hurt and ache all the time. Nothing else seemed to work, not even the well meaning sport coaches who just told me to do crunches. For a kid with lower back issues, that was not a comfortable option. When I decided to make yoga a daily habit, my back pain has been significantly reduced, I lost weight, craved healthy foods, and gained a healthy lifestyle.
For my 30th birthday I gave myself the gift of a 200 hour Yoga Certification from Sonic Yoga in New York. I was so happy to have gotten that certificate but even more depressed that I “don’t know how to really teach. That certification was only 30 days!”, “I don’t know enough to teach”, “I hate being in front of groups of people and speaking.” These were the fears that lived in my head and stopped me from pursuing a yoga teaching career. So I pushed my new certification aside and continued to “find myself” in other things.
At 33 I became a single mother. I was the happiest I had ever been in life as someone who suffered with depression and anxiety that had ended me in the hospital just a few years prior. This baby, that I prayed for, was my new reason to live. She was my reason to push myself past my insecurities and fears. I had already conquered my health goals and had built a strong yoga practice. What I hadn’t done was get that “perfect career” everyone my age was chasing.
As a single mother I went from working as the child care coordinator at a local gym, to a weight loss coach at Jenny Craig and getting promoted to Manager. By this time my daughter was 3 and I met my husband shortly after declaring to myself that ME AND MY DREAMS DESERVE TO BE A PRIORITY. Any single mothers out there, you can definitely find love as a single mother. You really have to hone in on who you need to be when that person arrives. It’s all about you mindset!
With a career as a weight loss coach, I absolutely loved helping my clients but I hated selling them frozen food that was not at all healthy. Still unsatisfied, I went back to grad school for Advertising and then finally pulled the veil off of my fear and promoted myself as a yoga teacher in 2022. As we all did, I had learned so much about myself through the pandemic and felt like I had to get things rolling because life is too short. Shortly after launching my yoga career I incorporated nutrition coaching so I could help people the way I wanted to.
My goal is to help women over 35 go from tired and overwhelmed to thriving and crushing their goals with more body confidence, more energy, and more happiness in their lives through holistic nutrition coaching, mindset coaching and movement coaching.
